The Low Stone Wall

Talking about lawn and garden care with Grama Sue last night, I mentioned being interested in learning how to build stone walls — via the Stone Trust, say. She said I could help myself to the rocks making up the planter in the front of the house, as she’s intended to remove it for some time now.

As I don’t have a place to put the stones yet, being proficient at getting a cart before a horse, she suggested piling them behind the shed. Then I pointed out that might make them an even more appealing habitat for some creatures than they are now. Which is fine, but requires a bit more care when the time comes to disassemble the pile and cart them away.
